Commuters embrace the MyCiTi mobile app

The City of Cape Town launched its MyCiTi mobile application four months ago. Since the launch, over 21 000 commuters have downloaded the app and the site has been accessed more than 430 000 times. The journey planner and timetables are very popular as it allows commuters to plan their journeys with real time information at hand.

City advises on COVID-19 precautionary measures for public transport

The City of Cape Town’s Transport Directorate advises commuters making use of public transport services to practice meticulous personal hygiene while travelling. The City also recommends that commuters consider travelling outside of the peak-hour periods as far as possible to limit contact with other commuters and to avoid crowded vehicles.
