Single-trip cards launch on 18 October 2014

From 18 October 2014, passengers can purchase single-trip cards from station kiosks. 

Single-trip cards will cost R30 and single-trip cards for journeys connecting with the Airport will cost R75. 

The single-trip cards are valid for: 

  • One journey, including transfers at stops and stations: Tap out when you leave a station or exit a bus at a roadside stop and tap in again within 45 minutes to resume your journey.
  • One-way travel: For return journeys, please buy two single-trip cards.
  • One year from date of purchase. 

NOTE: From 18 October 2014 passengers will no longer be able to sell back their myconnect cards.
