Enjoy the holidays safely with MyCiTi
The festive season is nearly here and many of us are looking forward to time off work to relax or to enjoy the fresh air and summer sun with our loved ones.
MyCiTi is here to help you enjoy the holidays with our usual services and a few special festive season changes. We urge everyone to be safe and to help protect each other, and remind passengers that all services are subject to changes in lockdown levels and travel restrictions.
This year, passengers can look forward to late-night shopping and more buses to Camps Bay on popular beach days. A special holiday service is also planned to help Atlantis residents access the popular Silwerstroomstrand beach and resort.
There will also be fewer services on weekdays from 20 December until 7 January as a result of fewer people travelling to work.

Follow the Covid-19 advice
- Wash or sanitise your hands regularly.
- Wear your mask correctly whenever you are in public.
- Travel in the off-peak whenever possible.
Plan your journey
Avoid waiting around at our stops and stations. Download our app to enjoy live updates of when your bus is due to arrive and get directions for your journey. You will also receive the latest news and alerts. The app is available free from iOS and Google Play stores.

Popular beach days
There will be extra services along the 106 and 107 routes to Camps Bay to help passengers get to the beach without worries about parking. Buses will operate every 18 minutes from 10:00 until end of service on 26 & 27 December and 1 & 2 January.
Silwerstroomstrand holiday service
Atlantis residents can enjoy a special holiday service between Atlantis station and Silwerstroomstrand Beach from 26 December 2021 to 2 January 2022. Buses on route 247 will depart daily during this period at 09:30 and 13:00 from Atlantis station, and 10:00, 13:30 and 18:00 from Silwerstroomstrand.
Getting to work
20 December 2020 - 7 January 2022
Services will be reduced on some routes during the morning and afternoon weekday peak due to fewer people travelling to work.
Fewer buses will operate on routes T01, 109, 108 and 118 throughout this period.
Fewer services will operate along route T03 from 28 December until 7 January.
There will be fewer services throughout the day on the following routes, which will operate according to a weekend schedule: T04, D08, 105, 260, 262, 213, 223 and 113.
The D05 and 116 routes will not operate during this period.
How to use MyCiTi
Get your myconnect card from stations and load a package. Then simply tap in and out to use the bus. Remember to wear a mask covering your mouth and nose at all times and keep as much distance from others as you can.
