The cost to replace an expiring or expired myconnect card will increase from R22 to R30 with effect from 1 October 2024.

This change was originally planned to coincide with the annual fare adjustments on 1 July, when the cost of a new myconnect increased to R40, but was delayed for technical reasons.

What passengers need to know:

• It will cost R22 to replace an expiring/expired myconnect by 30 September 2024.
• It will cost R30 to replace an expiring/expired myconnect from October 1, onward.

Tip: Replace your card early

You can replace your card up to 3 months before it expires. To take advantage of the lower cost, check the expiry date on your card and replace it at any MyCiTi station kiosk before October 1.
