New route coming to Khayelitsha

The new route, D02 Khayelitsha West – Civic Centre, will operate from Kuyasa public transport interchange along Ntlazane Road and Spine Road, before travelling along Mew Way to the N2 and then to Civic Centre station in central Cape Town. Buses will also operate on the same route in the return direction from Civic Centre station to Kuyasa. This route will serve residents in the southern part of Mandela Park, Harare, Village 1 North and South, Village 4 and Victoria Mxenge areas. It will also link up with the existing D01 Khayelitsha East – Civic Centre route, which travels along Lindela Road, Japtha K Masemola Road and then into Spine Road heading to the N2. This will allow passengers to make a transfer between the two routes at Kuyasa and, if the transfer is within 45 minutes, then the fare is calculated for a single journey.
Get your myconnect card
All passengers aged four and over need their own myconnect card loaded with money to travel on MyCiTi buses. Get yours for R30 at MyCiTi station kiosks and selected retailers. For a limited time, MyCiTi is offering myconnect cards preloaded with 30 Mover points for only R30 – you get the myconnect card free of charge. All you need to do is to bring R30, your identity document, drivers’ licence or passport, or birth certificate for a child, and complete an application form.
