From 15 August 2015, MyCiTi’s 110 Table Mountain service will become a free park and ride shuttle service.

The 110 service operates between the Lower Tafelberg stop at the parking area at Kloof Nek and the Upper Tafelberg stop at the Lower Cableway Station.

This free service is made possible by the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company following an agreement with Transport for Cape Town, the City’s transport authority.

The journey via cableway to the summit of Table Mountain is one of Cape Town’s most popular tourist attractions and there is often heavy congestion along Tafelberg Road, which will be alleviated by the free shuttle service.

The Table Mountain service connects with services to Camps Bay and the central city at Kloof Nek. Passengers transferring to and from the free service will have to have a myconnect card or purchase a single-trip card at the vending machine located at the SanParks office near the Lower Tafelberg stop.

The first and last buses each day will run between Civic Centre station and the Upper Tafelberg stop, and the normal MyCiTi fare rules will apply to these journeys.
