Connect to free WiFi on these buses
2017-06-22
MyCiTi is encouraging passengers to make use of the free high-speed WiFi service that is currently available on some buses as part of a pilot project. By going online to check your email, catch up on social media and access other online material you can help MyCiTi to refine the WiFi service and prepare for a full roll-out to the rest of our fleet.
Free WiFi is available on 10 buses. Look out for the “WiFi available here” signs on buses with the following numbers – D110, D120, D130, D140, D150, D322, D336, D352, D362 and D383.
You will receive 50MB of data free every day to use from any WiFi enabled device, such as your smartphone, tablet or laptop computer. You will also be able to access other content, including the latest news and weather over and above the daily limit.
If you reach your daily limit, you can easily purchase more data using a credit card or if you have an existing internet account that offers access to public WiFi hotpots, including AlwaysOn, G-Connect and Mweb, you can simply login to access your additional data.
To connect to WiFi on these buses, enable WiFi on your device, connect to “Vast”, and choose “Complimentary Access”. You will need to complete a short registration form the first time you access the WiFi.
