Airport service timetable changes from 15 July
2017-07-10
Increasing traffic congestion has impacted journey times on the Airport service during the weekday morning and afternoon peaks.
From 15 July 2017, the Airport service (A01) weekday timetable will reflect a one-hour journey for buses travelling from the Airport to Civic Centre station in the morning between 05:30 and 08:30, and from the Civic Centre to the Airport in the afternoon between 15:00 and 18:30. These buses will still depart at 30 minute intervals from both Civic Centre and Airport stations, despite the longer journey times.
All A01 journeys in the off peak will continue to take approximately 30 minutes.
Regular Airport service passengers can save even more with the new Monthly Pass introduced on 1 July 2017. This offers unlimited travel anywhere, including to the Airport, for only R780 compared with R930 previously.
A myconnect card now costs R35 and is still the smart way to travel on our buses. Passengers who do not want to buy a myconnect card but want to still use the bus to connect with the Airport can purchase a Single-Trip card for R100 from station kiosks and vending machines at stations.
