Is your myconnect card expiring in March?

Check your card

Some myconnect cards expire in March 2017. If the expiry date on the front of your card says “03/17” then replace your card before 31 March 2017.

Don’t leave it to the last minute – visit any station kiosk as soon as you have used up your value and replace your card.

If you still have value on your card, replace your card and transfer the value immediately at the Civic Centre (Zone 3), Table View or Atlantis station kiosks.

A. Replace your card only

  1. Complete the application form below.
  2. Check your card at a station info terminal for your card balance, and clear any outstanding penalties.
  3. Visit any station kiosk with your expiring card and R20 in cash.
  4. You will receive your new myconnect card and can start loading value for travel.

B. Replace your card AND transfer value

  1. Complete the application form below.
  2. Visit the Civic Centre (Zone 3), Table View or Atlantis station kiosks with your expiring card and R20 in cash.
  3. You will receive your new myconnect card. Any value on your expiring card will be transferred to your new card.*

*Additional terms and conditions may apply.

What happens if I don’t replace my card by 31 March 2017?

On 1 April 2017, your expired card will not work. You can still replace it at a cost of R20, but you will have to wait 30 days for money loaded as Standard to be transferred from the expired card to your new card.

Replacing multiple cards

If there is more than one card expiring in your household, then one person can replace all of them, provided there is a completed signed application form for each expiring card.

TIP: Save time. Fill out the form before visiting the kiosk.
