Changes to myconnect terms and conditions

From 18 October 2014, the City will no longer repurchase myconnect cards from passengers due to the launch of single-trip tickets.

From 8 September until 17 October 2014, unwanted myconnect cards can be returned to MyCiTi station kiosks for a refund of the original purchase price. As a concession to passengers, the administration fee of R10 will not apply during this period.

The following rules and requirements for repurchasing of cards still apply. Passengers need to:

• Complete a buy-back form, available at station kiosks

• Provide the original receipt for the card

• Show proof of identity (ID book, driver’s licence, or passport)

Please note that visibly damaged cards, free cards and cards with outstanding penalties or charges will not be repurchased.

These changes to the terms and conditions of the card were authorised by the City’s applicable Tariff, as approved by Council in May 2014.
